Elon Musk plots next move

Elon Musk, after taking over Twitter, condemned the political left in the strongest terms he has used yet. He bluntly stated that those on the left hate everyone, including themselves.

Elon Musk uses the platform he now owns

Elon Musk began his quest for the company on March 14. More recently he tried to sound a conciliatory tone to his critics:

But they refused.

Shaun King posted this “tweet storm” in response to Elon Musk buying the company:

Tellingly, after posting the above, Shaun King left Twitter in a fit of pique. The only reason these tweets embed today is that he thought better of his departure and reversed it.

This exchange is interesting on several levels.

In it, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) says scathingly that

some billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a massive communication platform and skews it because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him feel special.

Elon Musk replies,

Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy.

To which AOC replies,

I was talking about Zuckerberg but OK.

Why AOC would be taking about Mark Zuckerberg, owner and head of Meta (formerly Facebook), is not clear. But the response by Elon Musk paraphrases AOC’s assertion that she has male critics who want to date her.

But more recently, Elon turned more serious:

Almost as if to make Elon’s point, John Pavlovitz slams Elon for “both-sides-ing.”

And Andy Ngo shuts Pavlovitz up sharp:
