Jussie Smollett releases new song ‘Thank You God’ after jail release
Jussie Smollett has been out of jail for three weeks and has now released a new song called “Thank You God.”
The former “Empire” star shared the single on his Instagram account, which according to his bio is “currently run by” the Smollett family.
In the caption of the post, it’s noted that “100% of the profits will be donated” to Rainbow Push Coalition, the Illinois Innocence Project and Secure the Bag Safety. “It’s like they’re hell bent on not solving the crime,” Smollet raps in the song. Another verse states, “You got the wrong one.”
Smollett in December was sentenced to 150 days in prison for lying to police after reporting a racist and homophobic attack in 2019, which was deemed to be staged.
The actor fights back against his conviction in his song, saying, “You think I’m stupid enough to kill my reputation?”
Smollett had served six days of his 150-day sentence when he was released from jail last month pending the appeal of his conviction. An appeals court said, in a 2-1 decision, that Smollett could be released after posting a personal recognizance bond of $150,000, meaning he doesn’t have to lay down money but agrees to show up for court as required.

Idaho defends against abortion mandate
Jussie Smollett comes across as a typical sociopath. He can not admit they he was caught committing the crime he did. But people like him can never admit to the deviant and bad things they do.
