Israel will be ‘destroyed’ if it makes any mistakes in Tehran dealing, Iran says
In recent months, Iran has increased its verbal threats against Israel, notably in light of the Biden administration reentering Iran nuclear deal talks.
“Any mistake by Israel in dealing with Tehran will accelerate its destruction,” said Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Commander of Aerospace Force on Thursday.
In 2015, during the Obama administration, the US and Iran entered a nuclear deal. In 2018, former President Donald Trump pulled out of the deal. Later this month, President Joe Biden will be meeting with Iran officials in Vienna to re-enter the deal. The Middle-Eastern country wants the US to provide assurance it will never back out of the deal again.
On June 18th, the Iranian Presidential election took place leaving Ebrahim Raisi, Iran’s Judiciary Chief, the new President of Iran. Furthermore, Iran may be motivated by a new military arsenal and weapons which entered the country after US forces left Afghanistan and allowed the Taliban to take over.
Since the summer, Israel has warned against the risks of the US re-entering the nuclear deal with Iran. In June, FBA reported, “Israel’s new Prime Minister Naftali Bennett opened his first Cabinet meeting by slamming Iran’s newly-elected president and calling on world powers to ‘wake up’ to the perils of returning to a nuclear agreement with Tehran.”
