Obama fails identity check

Obama, hypocrite in chief at the National Prayer Breakfast, and orchestrator of a bodyguard of lies

Two days ago a piece of news broke, then everyone forgot about it. A tree fell down in a forest, and no one heard. But the modern Internet is a tape recorder in the forest. And when you play the tape back of the tree falling down in the forest, you have sound. Herewith the playback: de facto President Obama failed a key identity check. Why? His Social Security number tripped him up. And the mainstream media, even Fox News Channel, all missed that fact.

Obama tries to sign up on Healthcare.gov

The opponents of Obamacare (a/k/a “The Affordable Care Act,” which is neither affordable nor caring) pushed the de facto President to sign up for his own program. So he did, or tried to. But the system could not verify his identity.

Red Flag News picked up the video from the Fox News Channel. Ed Henry, senior White House correspondent for Fox News, said:

We learned today from the White House. Initially, they said he signed up for what they called a bronze plan, paying about four hundred dollars a month in premiums. But, then they came back to us and said – Wait, he didn’t actually enroll. They said his staff did it and that’s because of his unique circumstance as Commander in Chief. That his personal information is not in particular government data bases. So healthcare.gov could not actually verify his identity, oddly enough. So he had to do it in person this weekend, but of course he’s going to be in Hawaii, not in Washington, and he is signing up in the D.C. exchange.  So his staff did it.

Say what?

Ed Henry did remind everybody:

The President liked his plan, so he’ll get to keep his plan, which is not exactly the exchange.

But that wasn’t the point. And shame on Ed Henry for missing it.

As an aside, why would Obama not sign up on the Hawaii exchange? Is he planning to be a permanent resident of Washington, D.C.? Senator Lindsay Graham (R-S.C.) pointedly signed up on the South Carolina exchange, to reflect his status as a resident of South Carolina, not a denizen of the Capital. If Obama really wanted to be a man of the people, he would have gone in person to a sign-up center in Honolulu. He will, after all, made his home in Hawaii after he leaves office, will he not?

Even more telling is why the computer could not verify his identity. It wasn’t just another glitch.

Does Obama have a good Social Security number?

Obama: who is he? Healthcare.gov didn't seem able to figure that out.

Good question. As Jerome Corsi reminded everyone two days ago, he probably does not.

What information was so sensitive for Obama that it had to be excluded from government databases?

Clearly, the information was not his Social Security Number or his birth records, because the White House has claimed to have made public both.

The problem, according to Corsi: Obama is using a Social Security number with a Connecticut prefix. Yet he never once had an address in Connecticut. That number came out sometime between 1977 and 1979. Obama first worked at a Baskin-Robbins ice cream parlor on Oahu in Hawaii.

Worse yet, the Obama Social Security number flunked out of E-Verify in 2011.

Jerome R. Corsi has had this information in the public record for at least two, and in one case three, years. And Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona, has had an active investigation for well over one year.

Summing up

Barack Obama tried to make a “symbolic gesture” to sign up for his own health care plan. He could not. The vaunted system said he had to apply in person. Now many people have had trouble signing up through Healthcare.gov. But the system is not telling those people to apply in person, nor choking on their Social Security numbers. The system has many flaws, but those flaws do not include this.

The real problem: Barack Obama cannot show who he is, the same as everyone else can, and as the government expects us to. His true identity has been controversial since the 2008 campaign. (Hillary Clinton raised the issue.) So when he fails a routine identity check, why doesn’t anyone seem to care? Why didn’t Ed Henry follow up on this failure? And can we really believe that no one tried to call him to tell him what might have happened? Or is everyone so jaded they don’t expect Fox News Channel to follow up on things? (CNAV does not expect that of, say, MSNBC. But we did expect it of Fox News Channel.)

Once again, we have a de facto President who skates on having failed an identity check. This gave the press the perfect opportunity to ask whether Obama had fooled them before. And they missed it.
