October Surprise in Iran?

Flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Did Obama try to wangle an October Surprise in Iran? Maybe, but he probably didn't get it.

Is Barack Obama planning an October Surprise in Iran? Recent reports suggest so. In fact, some of those reports say he’s wanted a deal with Iran since before he took office. But those same reports say he has no deal. At least, not the kind of deal to convince voters to give him another four years.

October surprise setup?

Ambassador Stevens. Was he the pawn in the Benghazi attack, for something much bigger?

The Obama administration doesn’t seem to know what to say, from one day to the next, about why mobs killed an ambassador and three other men in Libya. For five days they blamed an amateurish “trailer” for an over-the-top movie. Then they had to admit that terrorists attacked the US consulate in Benghazi, and no unruly mob took part. Today a new rumor emerged: Barack Obama set up the kidnap of Ambassador Chris Stevens, to stage an October Surprise. But the plan went horribly wrong. The tragic results embarrassed Barack Obama and did him no favors.

Yesterday’s Congressional hearing into the Benghazi attack made big news as the cover up, lies and deception of the Obama Administration unraveled before our eyes.

Netanyahu speech: putting war off

How should Israel feel about trusting Putin's Bitch?

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel yesterday gave the speech everyone was waiting for. The Netanyahu speech to the UN probably relieved some hearers, and certainly frustrated others. Because the Netanyahu speech put off war until next year. Can he afford to wait? Must he wait?

Terrorist attack in Libya: Obama knew it

Ambassador Chris Stevens died in Libya, on September 11, 2012, in a terrorist attack. That much should have been obvious to everyone from the start. We now learn that not only was it obvious, but the Obama administration—and thus Obama himself—knew perfectly well that he had lost an ambassador in a terrorist attack. He knew it twenty-four hours after the event. And still he and others blamed Stevens’ death on an amateurish video and sent at least one Cabinet member out to say the same.

Russia behind Muslim unrest?

Obama is Putin's bitch, and that's why the flag of Russia flies over the Crimea today.

The Obama administration can’t seem to keep its stories straight. First they said the Muslim riots in Egypt and Libya, and the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens, were all due to an amateurish trailer to a movie that few have ever seen. Now they must admit that the Ambassador, at least, was a terrorist target. Furthermore, riots did not start in Libya independent of the Benghazi attack. But why did riots start elsewhere? Why are they still going on? Did Obama make mistakes? Yes. But someone planned all those riots. And now a new lead suggests who might be behind that planning: Russia.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – sometimes it seems like we’re living in an Alice in Wonderland-type universe where up is down and down is up. The recent events in Muslim countries since 9/11 have bolstered that point of view. Amid the chants of “Death to America” and the recurring violence, we have been repeatedly scorned and threatened by 10 countries that we are sending foreign aid to – two of which we recently helped earn their independence.

Middle East, Obama, and oil

After all that has been written and said about Obama and the Middle East crisis, the entire ordeal still mystifies me.

Terrorist attack: ask the obvious questions

Osama Bin Laden compound. A terrorist attack to kill an ambassador, but not to avenge this?

On September 11, 2012, America experienced another terrorist attack, but this time it was on foreign soil. To be clear, our embassies in foreign lands are supposed to be “American.” They are a little piece of real estate that is an extension of American soil in whatever land they are located. Many questions are arising amidst this tragedy.

Anti-Islam film mystery deepens

Flag of Egypt. What happened in Egypt is a metaphor for American policy failures in the Middle East.

The anti-Islam film that, some say, started the Middle East riots puzzles everyone who talks about it. That film has shown once only, a year ago. Viewers can find only a 14-minute trailer and a 7-minute news segment on Egyptian TV. At first, no one knew the filmmaker’s real name. But word comes now that the filmmaker was a government snitch. So when Secretary of State Clinton says that the government had nothing to do with making the film, that might or might not be correct.
