‘Christian’ leaders and truth

The Ten Commandments: antidote to communist ideology

There is a common, worldly kind of Christianity in this day, which many have, and think they have enough – a cheap Christianity which offends nobody, and requires no sacrifice – which costs nothing, and is worth nothing.

– J. C. Ryle

Global warming and prophecy

Global warming, (a/k/a climate change), is a peculiar tenet embraced by liberals. Although the modern liberal movement may think they are the founders of this movement, Adam and Eve were the first environmentalists. They were instructed by God to take care of the garden and treat the animals properly (Gen. 1:28). Today uber-liberals have also become uber-environmentalists, and as is the case in other instances, their extremism has perverted noble intentions.

Christians as hypocrites

The Geneva Bible. Are we in a silent war against what this book represents?

Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than going to a garage makes you an automobile.

– Billy Sunday

I remember when I first became part of the family of God in Jesus Christ about 20 years ago. On several occasions while attending church services, there would be people who would share their testimonies where a good half hour would be spent on magnifying how sinful, evil and bad they were with a smirk on their faces, while one or two minutes would be spent on emphasizing on how good God was by saving them through Jesus Christ. I also noticed that in many cases these storytellers were the first ones to play the hypocrite outside of the congregation’s eye. One day they would be in front of a church giving their testimonies, and the next they were out doing the same things they proclaimed they were delivered from. The furthest thing from their professed walk in Christ was Christ Himself. The fruit of Jesus was M.I.A. when it came to their walk.

Bill Gates in prophecy?

As the details about Common Core Standards (CC) are revealed, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (Gates) have emerged as the prime donor enabling the facilitation of this ill-advised and potentially destructive program. To be clear, it can be legitimately argued that CC will further deteriorate an already strained educational system. That is no small concern when one considers that presently this prosperous nation has fallen from an untouchable #1 worldwide to #23 in the space of one generation. Although the issues with CC can be presented ad infinitum, this article will focus on the curious financial support CC it is receiving from Bill Gates and his wife.

Spitting toward heaven

Last week we witnessed four denominations emboldened by this criminal, “sodomite-advocating” administration, joining the ranks of the apostate in America. Namely, the United Church of Christ (that claims 1 million members with about 5,200 congregations), the Presbyterian Church USA, the Moravians, who voted to ordain gay clergy, as well as the Pentecostal Church International (1 Timothy 4:1).

Iraq in Bible prophecy?

Whore of Babylon. Future of Iraq?

While many preachers say that all biblical prophecies have been fulfilled, there are a few that remain unfulfilled and are puzzling – especially the ones that prophesy about Iraq. Don’t bother looking for the word “Iraq” in your Bible. You won’t find it. You will, however you will find Babylon, which is modern day Iraq. But don’t be confused, the Bible speaks about two Babylons – the physical country of Iraq and “mystery” Babylon, which is a one world government. For these purposes, only physical Iraq is being discussed.

God – Libertarian?

I have recently been promoting a D.C. rally supporting traditional marriage. It raised several good questions from someone I love dearly. My answers may have seemed conflicted – or worse, hypocritical – but they were not. I believe everyone has a right to live their lives as they see fit. I also believe that no one has the right to impose their beliefs upon me, the church, or any other person or entity. To complicate matters more, I believe there is a right and there is a wrong way to live. These points of view can be hard to reconcile for many but not if processed through a biblical worldview.

Signs of the end times

The Fed is a sign of at least one end times fulfilment.

Prophecies regarding the age commonly referred as the “end times” have intrigued many throughout the ages. In the past, there are those that have believed that they were living in the end times – sometimes for good reasons and sometimes at the expense of torturing the Scriptures. However, at no time in the past has anyone ever seen all the prophetic Scriptures or all the prophetic signs fulfilled. And contrary to what some preachers have taught, neither have we.

Evil falls before the fearless

Imagine with me for a moment if George Washington, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson never existed. Imagine history without Abraham, Moses, King David or the King of Kings, Jesus Christ. Where would we be if these men did not exhibit leadership with courage and sacrifice on the behalf of the people? Where would we be if they had not loved both seen and unseen, resulting in now having both natural and spiritual freedoms throughout the world? I can tell you, we would all be slaves to tyranny in every form (Hebrews 11)!

United Nations and prophecy

Last week Pastor Stephan Nash wrote an article entitled: Get Your Hands Off Israel. In it he made the point that the spirit of the Anti-Christ not only hates Israel but also hates Christians. Pastor Nash was right to relate current events to prophecies regarding the “End Times.” However, the relationship between prophecies and current events goes beyond traits attributed to the Anti-Christ or the spirit of the Anti-Christ.
