I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

Character is defined as: Mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual.

Recently, I was a guest on my new friend Jesse Lee Petersen’s radio show out of Los Angeles. Friends, keep in mind that Jesse is a black man and I am a white man; and the listening audiences of Jesse’s show seemed to be a majority black audience.

If the question “what difference does it make?” is referring to the Sept. 11th attack in Benghazi – the answer is “plenty!”

To begin this commentary I would like to apologize to our loyal readers and too, to the occasional visitor of TPATH.  As many of you know I run my website from my own pocket and I get zero compensation except the satisfaction that the research and writing done here, by me and our many wonderful contributors will be informative and somewhat entertaining in the process.   What do I feel the need to apologize for?  Well, I tried, I really did try to watch that usurper give the State of the Union Address on Tuesday night.

May Day!

May Day!

“May Day” when repeated three times is recognized worldwide as a cry for help in life threatening situations. The call is traditionally used by mariners and aviators. Unfortunately, crying May Day in the case of a dying nation will not garner the support of nearby ships or planes. But it can be the battle cry of the patriots who understand that the country they love is under siege and in dire straits.

War, peace, oil, heroism, and futility

There is no way, with my limited service as a draftee during the Viet Nam era, that I  can even begin to compare my time in the service with the sacrifices of true heroes such as John McClain.  However, it is important that a few things be pointed out concerning his article.

We’ve been at war now continuously since I was born, fifty-six years ago, and having served two decades active in the Corps, I still don’t have a clue how our “political leadership” ever allowed us into any of these wars.  Today, we have great controversy over overt things, but the real controversy lies in covert things, the questions all the warriors want answered, but which are always refused.

By what authority do those highbrows in  black robes think they have to violate the Constitution and by extension, the will of the American people?  Justices are warranted to determine the legality of a law or an activity, as relates to the US Constitution and then render an opinion thereon.   Redefining legislation or altering its wording or intent, is not legal.

Religion of ignorance!

A nation of well-informed men who have been taught to know and prize the RIGHTS which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the religion of ignorance that tyranny begins.

– Benjamin Franklin

Goodness gracious, America – what is it going to take for the American people to bring forth justice against an administration that is willfully and purposely tearing down the Constitution of the United States? Of course, we know that this is nothing but an attempt by the current administration to recreate our country in the image that looks just like themselves … lawless!

NSA surveillance: reform or ruse?

The NSA surveillance program is now in bad hands.

Late this morning, de facto President Barack Obama spoke for nearly forty-five minutes about the NSA surveillance program. He said he would reform it to balance security with liberty. He also denied anyone had ever abused the program. But with his history, no one can really trust him. Moreover the “balance” he proposed is little more than vapor. The real solution is far simpler, and literally comes from one of the Founders.
