Jerusalem and Jews: new evidence

Entering Jerusalem, ancient capital of Israel

Today the Israel Antiquities Authority, and members of the Jerusalem Police, announced a major “bust” the police made on Friday. The police captured two grave thieves, one Israeli and one Palestinian. They also recovered some truly ancient loot: eleven ossuaries, or bone boxes. The suspects seem to have tried to sell these to an Israeli collector. The Antiquities Authority concentrated on describing four arrests, and the value of the recovered loot. But they ought to have  mentioned one other, far more important detail. This loot shows the Jews have the best claim to Jerusalem. Arabs, and Muslims, cannot deny this claim anymore.

Quest for Commonality: Abrahamic faiths

Abraham leaving home

The Adult Catholic Education program, held recently at a local Catholic parish hall, was entitled, “Under Abraham’s Tent: Jews, Christians, and Muslims in the World Today.”  The evening, designed to “foster peaceful relationships” of three religions through their shared patriarch, Abraham, attracted about 200 guests.

War, peace, oil, heroism, and futility

The Kimmeredge oil well. Is raising the price of oil a motive to let the Middle East erupt in flames?

There is no way, with my limited service as a draftee during the Viet Nam era, that I  can even begin to compare my time in the service with the sacrifices of true heroes such as John McClain.  However, it is important that a few things be pointed out concerning his article.

ASA – Academics Surrender to Allah

Members of the Israel Defense Forces on the Golan Heights. What has the ASA to say to them?

Five thousand members of the ASA, American Studies Association, would be better identified as Academics Surrender to Allah.  They have declared jihad against the State of Israel.  Why?  ASA president Curtis Marez admitted that there are worse countries than Israel but, he added, “One has to start somewhere!” Can you picture Marez as part of a firefighting team sent to extinguish a blaze in Southern California, and he’ll start “somewhere” in North Dakota?  So they’re boycotting Israel’s universities, which are also attended by Palestinian students, rather than boycotting Palestinian universities that were instituted by Israel but are prohibited to Jewish students – perhaps a study in reverse psychology.

Christ – Lord of time and all creation

Jesus Christ holding a lamb, a symbol of Himself. The New Testament is His Letter to humanity.

Images of the Christ child lying in a manger warm our hearts and comfort our souls during this very special time of the year.  The songs we sing remind us of angels and shining bright stars adorning the humble surroundings of that very first Christmas over 2000 years ago.  And at Easter we think of the suffering Christ and the price He paid for our salvation.

What will it take?

The Obama rainbow flag, a classic false front for American youth

Let me begin with a categorical statement that, given current events and recent political history, can be easily defended: Barack Hussein Obama is a willful, indoctrinated child of the Left with strong Islamic sympathies who is not fit to govern. Indeed, he would not be fit to govern Lower Slobovia, let alone the United States of America. Obama is a historic disaster of the first magnitude and, if not restrained, he will see to the irrevocable decline of the country which foolishly elected him, leaving the world on the brink of a conflict — or in the midst of one — whose repercussions cannot be underestimated.

Religion and politics: do they mix?

The Bible. Handbook of the Church Militant

Do religion and politics mix? Before answering, ask yourself: How did America, once a noble nation, become so confused?

Palestine to Israel: summary

How should Israel feel about trusting Putin's Bitch?

This article reviews the analyses of the competing claims of the Jews and of the Arab residents to a land known variously as “Israel,” “Judea,” and “Palestine” for its millennia of history. What follows necessarily from this analysis is that the Jews, and not the Arabs, have a claim.

“Palestinians” under international law

How should Israel feel about trusting Putin's Bitch?

The Arabs residing in Palestine, a small group of the Arab people, who have been named “The Palestinian Arab People” by the Soviet dezinformatsiya1 claim political self determination in Palestine as a separate “Palestinan people” as provided by “natural law” and International Law” and also make the claim as a minority of Arab people who are much oppressed by the majority Jewish People. The UN General Assembly has adopted their claim in its Resolution 3236, November, 1974. The UN General Assembly cannot make International Law but it does greatly influence world public opinion.
